TomZ: December 2007 Archives

One of the first things most people do with PlayDJ is balance their entire library because the results are so cool and can be seen and heard immediately.

It's easy to do. The image below is a Raw Playlist, filled with songs, artists and attributes you've quickly selected in PlayDJ.  Notice this person has 4,027 songs ready to be scheduled.

With one click, PlayDJ transforms your Raw Playlist into a Scheduled Playlist (below):

This Scheduled Playlist created by PlayDJ is a carefully  balanced sequence of songs.

Notice the artist variety.  That means the same artist is not repeating a few songs later.  Also note that the genres of the songs in this list are spread apart, so it's not back to back with itself.

Even the rating (number of stars in iTunes) are separated, based on the number and type of songs you have chosen for this list.

You can then select up to 12 hours of music from this new list and sync it to your iPod or iTunes instantly, where it's saved as a PDJ (PlayDJ) playlist for easy access:

Repeat with any combination of songs and playlists to create all new lists of carefully scheduled, balanced music.

Soon, you'll be hearing everything on your iPod again!
